I hired Corcoran Coaching at Sellabration 2006 in Las Vegas.  I could see that my business was on the upswing and I knew I needed help to get the systems and processes in place to handle it.  I had been to lots of different training and coaching programs (Joe Stumpf, Mike Ferry, Sweathogs, Star Power, The Coaching Institute, etc.) but was never able to put it all together. 

 

We had been operating as a Team of 6 people for about 3 years and the business had been steady with the 2 rainmakers making a consistent six figure income.  In 2006 we had GCI of $590,000 netting 46% after all expenses.  With the guidance and assistance of my coach Ron, and the ever helpful specialist team at Corcoran Coaching, we were able to increase GCI in 2007 to $2,542,000 while holding costs down.  For 2007 we increased our bottom line net to 68%.  While life is still a little insane, we have been able to build a larger and stronger Team.  I rely on Corcoran to provide me with the advice and knowledge of the industry experts without me having to learn it the hard way.  This year our goal is for GCI to top $5,000,000.  Even though our Team grew last year, I will rely on Corcoran to help me find, hire, and train additional staff that will be needed to handle this increased volume so that my partner and I do not need to work the extended workday that was the result of too much work and not enough staff in 2007.

Bob, I thought you would like to hear about the effect you had on one of our Team Members....

We practiced the script in different scenarios, working on memorizing, internalizing, and verbalizing.  The first week felt uncomfortable and unreal, but as we worked at it more and more we were able to make it our own.  We found that by the end of the second week we were already doing it without needing the script in front of us.  By the final week we practiced by calling each other at different times without warning or mentioning who we were, making it as realistic as we could.  After four weeks we can do it in our sleep.  Scripts work!  You have to do it everyday for it to become YOURS!  Since our last experience was GREAT and we learned a lot we will continue to make a new commitment for each month to come and make it a habit by practicing it for four weeks!
